We came into Mandatory #2, seeded second in our pool which means we must ref. first. Our first match vs. Coast, we won it in three games 25-21, 21-25 & 15-10, during that match, we were serving 97%. Second match vs. Redland Tigers, we won the first game but lost the second game and went into a tie breaker, down by 5 points and we pulled even at 13, we fought hard but failed to put it together at the end.
Third match vs. En Fuego, we won the first and lost the second game. We played well in the third game and won it easily at 15-5. We finished second in our pool play and had to play San Gabriel who finished first on their bracket. San Gabriel played well from the beginning and never let up and beat up badly in the first game. Second game, we made it a little interesting but lost to San Gabriel anyway.
There will be a four weeks off before our next tournament, which means we will have time to work on fundamental skills, team skills, team works. We are fine the way we are now, but we need to make line up changes to help our team in our offense. I am looking forward to the extra time for us to get some work done.
